Smuggling in Sussex

At The Novium Museum, Thursday 11 & 25 January, 18:00. Free of charge, but booking is essential.

Smuggling represented the major criminal enterprise in southern England during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Apart from actual smuggling, gangs were also involved in murder & extortion. This talk will highlight some of the more notorious incidents from the age of smuggling.

11 January (now SOLD OUT) will focus on 18th Century and 25 January will focus on 19th Century.
