Friday, 4 June at The Guildhall, Priory Park - Sessions at 10:00 and 11:30. £3 per child, accompanying adults free of charge.

Ever wondered why there are so many Roman ruins about the country?

Ever questioned why the Romans didn't wear trousers?

Well look no further!

Brutus the brave centurion will boldly tell you of the Roman invasion victories, exploits and the failures. This unique storytelling session will include; meeting Brutus, listening to his epic stories and if you're extremely lucky he may even teach you a few moves and manoeuvres for dealing with those pesky barbarians!

The story telling will last approx 45 minutes, including time to have a photo with our brave centurion.

Please note that this event will take place within Government guidelines relating to Covid-19 at the time of the event. In the event that we need to cancel or postpone, you will be contacted by our team and a full refund will be offered.
  • Adults must wear a face covering throughout their time inside The Guildhall.

  • Booking is essential. Due to extremely limited numbers, if you are unable to attend on the day please let us know by phone 01243 775888 or email thenovium@chichester.gov.uk.

  • Please do not attend if any member of your group is displaying symptoms, or if you have been told to isolate by NHS Track and Trace.

  • Please only attend with members of your household or bubble.

  • On arrival, you will be greeted by a member of The Novium Museum staff, who will ask you to sanitise your hands and to check in using either the NHS Test and Trace App, or by providing your name and a contact telephone number.

  • Please note a queuing system will be in place to avoid the gathering of groups.
