Join us for a day of spell-binding activities!
The Magic of Middle-earth presents a magical treasure trove of objects and artworks celebrating the epic fantasy novels 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings'. This exciting exhibition is dedicated to the incredible fantasy worlds brought to life by J.R.R. Tolkien and the generations of creators his writing has influenced.
This summer we open our doors to the Elvish School of Middle-earth for young Wizards where you can attend magical lessons that will cover everything from;
- Creating your own magical charms to protect your woodlands with help from the spirits of the forest.
- Learning how to write in Elvish, compose your own enchantments and capture them in pen and ink.
- Casting your own magical ring and how to inscribe them with your own secret symbols.
- Learning how to tame the fiercest of mountain dragons with the use of riddles and puzzle talk.
Each one-and-a-half-hour session consists of 4 lessons where you'll take part in craft activities, creating magical items that you may take home with you. The Elvish teachers will show you how to use all the materials supplied. We encourage you to come dressed as your favourite magical character!
