Deposition

Archaeological depositions provide us with invaluable information relating to the rich and varied history of the district.

The Novium collects information, objects and assemblages from archaeological sites within the district - known as archaeological archives. The purpose-built Collections Discovery Centre at Fishbourne Roman Palace houses these archives and allows the public to see a working archaeology store in action.

Please note, during 2023 The Novium Museum will be imposing a temporary moratorium on depositions, although will be accepting notifications as usual.
