Meet some of our staff to find out more about our Mystery Warrior exhibition and the fascinating objects you can see.

Learn about how people made their clothes and what they ate, and see some replica Iron Age artefacts and weaponry.

Please note that while these events are free of charge, with donations gratefully accepted, you will need to pre-book your free visit to The Novium Museum in advance to guarantee entry. Iron Age Craft Sessions

Please note that if you have booked a craft session, you do not need to book museum admission. Your craft session ticket will allow you entry, but please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your craft session is due to begin.

Saturday, 26 September - Try your hand at making your very own salt-baked jewellery!
Saturday, 31 October - Using natural paints, create your very own 'Celtic Art'!

Booking in advance is essential. Please read the important information below prior to booking your craft session. Click here to book your Mystery Warrior craft session

  • Your booking will be per table, not per person. Tables will seat up to a maximum of four people, including accompanying adults.
  • There will be two tables available per craft session. If you have more than four people in your household or group, please book both tables. Please note groups of more than six people will not be allowed, unless your household has more than 6 members.

  • Tables and chairs are disinfected between sessions.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be included within table capacity.

  • Adults must wear a face covering throughout craft session.

  • Each child will be provided with their own craft set of materials for their session. Craft tools will be disinfected and quarantined after each use.

  • Craft sessions free to attend, but booking is essential. Due to extremely limited numbers, if you are unable to attend on the day please let us know by phone 01243 775888 or email thenovium@chichester.gov.uk

  • Please do not attend if any member of your group is displaying symptoms, or if you have been told to isolate by NHS Track and Trace.

  • On arrival, please follow the one way system in the craft room, and use the hand sanitising station available.

  • Please note a queuing system will be in place to avoid the gathering of groups.

  • An essential break between craft sessions has been scheduled to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfecting, as well as to avoid groups arriving and leaving at the same time, so visitors will be asked to keep to their half hour time slot.
